Got a phone call from a buddy today who is only playing the game 6 months and recently joined a club. Playing in the Captains prize last Sunday, He also entered a birdie competition for par 3's. 7th hole 189 yds into the wind, a five wood and he aced the hole!! Collected the whole pot, €520!! I am playing about six years and closest I came was 6". Some people have all the luck

Don't feel bad. I've been playing for 25 years and no aces yet. Been close (rolled over the hole or hit the pin) a few times but no luck. I recently read about a woman in Western Canada who had her first hole in one at the age of 84!! I think it was a 3 wood from 120 yards. So there's always hope!

I've been playing on a golf course for nearlly two years and the nearest i come is 6 foot.
p.s i've been playing 5years though.

A few years ago, I guess 7 or 8 years, I was in a tournament. One of the guys I was playing with aced out and won a car.
I wasn't happy... I wanted the car.
