A member gave me a great idea, so for thoses who maybe interested he is my morning for my usual 9.30am competition tee off.
I usually get up at 6.00 due to my job, I always wake up at the same time, after half an hour or so I have my breakfast, always have oats on comp day the digest slower and release energy for hours, sometimes have a chopped banana in there too.
Around 7.00am I have a bath not a shower, a good wash obviously, but I do love to just lie there for a while and chill out, great for the muscles too.
7.30 I get ready, good clothes for golf nothing irratable, slipovers etc if it's cool and make sure my golf bag is full of goodies, Pleanty of water, usually out of the freezer from last night if it's really hot, wrap it in a towel so not to wet your bag when it defrosts...................usually lasts the whole round slowly defrosting giving you a cool drink all day. If my wife has done her job a couple of breakfast bars and some rasins, sometimes I cheat and have the ones with chocolate bits in.
8.00 jump in the car for the 20 minute drive, now I always drive nice and steady and don't let anything upset me, this I feel is critical for golf, I play my favorate music in the car and sing along...........feel good factor.
Arrive about 8.20 get everything sorted and my shoes on for 8.30, log in the comp on the computer and fill out a card.
8.30-8.45 I have a little putt, contry to belief I always put some long ones, full lenth of the practice green, I think it just releases the excitement a bit for the forth coming round.
8.45-9.00 Do a bit of chipping around the green with two wedges and maybe an 8 iron for longer ones.
9.00-9.10 hit a few wedges if poss on the practice ground, couple of drives in the net, nothing heavy for me just a swing, I don't take any notice of where the ball goes really and loads of warm up exercises in between each shot.
9.10-9.25 I hit loads of short puts around the clock on one hole all from 2/3 feet, I feel that on the first few holes these are make or break putts, and me personally I always feel really confident when I knock 20 or so in just before I tee off.
9.30...............................launch it down the middle.............................
I would be interested to know any little thing you do and why.
