I've been playing & Practicing for 1 1/2 months after a 20 year layoff. I've played 9 holes 3 times with the lowest score of 46. Today I shot 18 holes and shot a 85!!!! I had a par 3 165 Yards, I hit 7 iron and came to rest 8 inches from the hole!!!!! I had one other birdie today. Made some good puts and a few decent chips but my approach shots were on the money today. Wow, what a great day. A couple of better drives, a few better chips and a couple of better puts and I would have been in the 70s. With practice I can be hitting the 70s before the winter. Alot of reading, and practicing really pays off. I practiced putting & Chipping 5 days this week and hitting irons and woods twice. What a great game!!! And to think I did not hit a really good drive all day.
