Are you talking about the 5DVD box kit?

If, I have only seen short excerpts, which looked brilliant. Leadbetter is very good at explaining things.

And the software that is part of the box is a "Leadbetter-enhanced" version of V1 Golf I believe.
I have the regular V1 golf package (which is only $10 cheaper than the entire Leadbetter box) and find that good value for money.

So if you have use for the software, I definately think this is worth it.

      hi
i have had it about 4 months now and if you can take film clips of your swing then this will help. if you cant take clips then you miss out on 70% of this software.
not only only show you what's wrong with your swing but gives to drills to help the you fix the faults some have 5/6 drills to help with one fault, you really have a lot of choice with this setup, nothing else like it and yes it uses v1 upgraded software. i dont like leadbetter much but he is a great swing teacher.
      best interactive software out there.

you put your swing on the v1 software and compare it with other golfers, try and download v1 its has a free software download and you will see how it works, but in leadbetter it shows you whats right and wrong from a player swinging and shows you line of the swing, where your arms are legs etc, and you can have two swings next to each other to see if your doing right or wrong. you can then look at things like your ball flite and and he shows you how to stop a push, pull, slice. hook and asked you a lot of things and you say yes or no and he then give you drills to help, he does try and get you to hit a draw and if thats what you want then this will really help.
if you do get it let me know what you think. i think its something you can keep going back to to help with your swing. if you want to know more just ask.
          hope this helps

In my version of V1 - which is different from the Leadbetterversion - you can examine your flaws based on the "9 ball flight rules".

You start by telling the system what path your ball flies, do you pull-hook, push, slice, fat or thin the ball. Then you are asked a series of questions like:

"Is your clubhead above the shaftplane in your downswing?"

The questions are supported by video-illustrations, indicating exactly you need to look for.

You then load your swing in a second window, and can use a large number of tools to draw on the video.

When you have answered a sequence of questions, V1 has identified some probable causes for the ball flight you are experiencing, and suggest a number of drills to correct flaws.

These drills are video-clips with some pro (hopefully in your case David Leadbetter) explaining the drills.

I'm VERY happy with V1 Golf, and the only thing that annoys me is, that I could have paid a measly $10 more and gotten this Leadbetter version with 4 instruction DVDs on top instead.

Actually, I'm tempted to get the Leadbetter box anyway!

I have come across the Leadbetter Interactive Series on ebay. It is on for a Buy it now at £14.99, which seems a bargain compared to the £50 from other sources.

I am considering getting it but don't have a camcorder to get the full benefits.

Incidentally I got John Jacobs Dr Golf 4 DVD series, new for about £11.50 on Amazon. These may be going back a bit, I think they were filmed in the early to mid 1980s but Jacobs is a great instructor and has given me some good things to work on in the game, especailly the swing path.

John Jacobs is a GOD! I have an old book of his and it's the most clear book on golf I've ever read. He is absolutely critical of the Ben Hogan single plane school of thought though.

I first came across Jacobs about 15 years ago, when as a young whipper snapper I was given a golf instruction video, Play Better Golf with Peter Alliss. Jacobs contributed a section to the video which was part of a BBC TV series. Unfortunately, I have only recently explored his ideas further. I was always into Leadbetter in the 1990s because he is also an outstanding instructor. However since Tiger has changed his swing through Haney, I noticed that Haney was a disciple of Jacobs. There are many other instructors such as Butch Harmon, whom Jacobs has had a profound effect on their teaching methods. I bought the DVDs for what was a bargain £11.50 plus P&P and these where retailing at £39.99 elsewhere. They are outstanding, and rather confusing players with different moves to build a swing, the focus on the flight of the ball to aid your development which was quite refreshing.

                          hi rachster.
yes that will do fine it what i use, the club head blurs a bit but your setup and swing can be viewed ok. cant see if the clubheads square but can see every thing else. i get about 30 seconds of playback in my camera per clip.
give it a try it does work.

I assume the she part is a typo.... Has your handicap dropped since have started using Leadbetter, and if so, by how much? The problems you were initially working on - have you made headway?

                            Thanks,

                            James

                              hi james
yes i have droped 2 shots of my handicap in about 6 months and have been working on my swing plane, i was too upright and now a little more flatter on my backswing and that had made me more consistant, i fade most of my shots and am not a big hitter, i can see what i'm doing wrong and what i do right on the video and think that is the best part on the dvd the way you can look and work out what is good on your swing compaired to some pros of your build and swing type. there are some good tips on his dvd and yes it was a typo and i ment "HE" thanks for putting me right lol.
