  • Drilled a hole in a R7

I was looking to buy a new driver, while browsing the net i found a guy selling a taylormade R7.it had been making a rattling noise due to a small piece of metal inside. when he gave it to his pro, he drilled a hole in it to get out the piece of metal that was making the noise. my question is. does this affect the club in any way?

    hi
i would think so as a few grams make a diffrence in setting up a driver head. have you tried it.

drilling a hole in it is not going to make a difference, you would have to remove 20 to 30 grams of weight to notice a difference, as for strength no need to worry

        Some Pro...........!!!!!,

A good pro would have removed the shaft to get it out then put it back in...............no hole.

Depending on the hole size and where the hole is depends on how it will effect it, hence movable weights.

        My advice steer clear.
