  • Alignment

Just had a small breakthrough at the range. The tips you find here might actually help if you use them. I used a club shaft perpendicular to the ball while practicing. I was actually trying to make sure that the ball was not too far forward in my stance. What I also discovered was that I was lined up much further left than I thought.

I believe that I will go to the store tomorrow and purchase three yardsticks to put in my bag to help me with my alignment. You know the drill - two parallel and one perpendicular.

Thanks for the great tips. I love this site!

I reckon lining the body up to the target is probably one of the hardest things about golf. Picking a line behind the ball is simple but it's much harder to do from the side. Sometimes I drift into the slightly closed position and tend to hit a few push shots and that's with my weekly alignment exercises. I think it's something you have to be continually aware of.
