    played solo this morning hit 10/12 fairways 6 GIR'S and 29 putts chipped in off the fringe twice!
    like i said my improvement is all down to being meticulous with the fundamentals.
    fairways very wet sure i could have had better score if a little drier!

      Now mostly scoring in the mid forties per 9 rather mid fifties or worse. I managed a PB of 43 last week, sadly followed by a 50, but the eighties are definitely in sight.

      Two things above all have helped - and both from here.

      My "bad shot" - an OTT heave - appears less and less, and I've really reduced the number of times I follow up a bad shot with another one - amazing how many strokes that alone saves.

      Next targets: So having improved this year what do you want to do next?

      For me the objectives are a) learn to play my game when with better players - macho pride and a desire to compete has cost me dear in the past b) to book some short game lessons - on my higher scoring rounds thats where the strokes get frittered away.

        Played like complete garbage for the first 2 months (10-15 strokes above my hcp), but it helped me understand my swing a little bit better.

        No change to HCP.

        Matched my PB of 89 twice. Mentally I was in the zone (well my zone) for both rounds.

        Won more than my fair share skins against my bosses ... got to love pushes ... thank you partners.

          my putting hav been my bigest improvement over the last year. i have taked at least 6 shots of my game with my putting. i changed to a broomhandled putter and feel i cant miss from 6 feet. the rest of my game is fair and i want to improve my short game next.

            Well I have dropped from 9 down to 6. I think the main reason is I have not tinkered as much this year, and as a result played more coinsistently.
            my target for 2007, is to be club champion, gonna work hard through the winter, on short game.

              I improved from 36 to 16.4. Hard work really does pay off. My game improved all-around, but I feel like there's so much more room to improve. Hoping to go down to single figures next season with a new swing .
