short game is king
Had my best round ever today, 1 over par, hit the ball worse than normal, but my short game was unreal, 25 putts, 2 sand saves and lots of up and downs made this round easy!! the problem is practising short game and putting are so boring! how do you make it more intresting?

Practicing with a partner who is willing and around your same level, will let you both play games against each other. This simple competition does 2 things: Time flys by, and you focus better.
Otherwise, if you are alone, play games in your head against yourself. 10 shots to within 4 feet...must make 7 before going to next station...etc. Bunker shots must have 5 within 10 feet... Whatever your level adjust the %'s.Comment

ive broken par (-1) twice over 9 holes, both time radically different,
1st time iron shots beauts couldnt make many putts though, ended up -1
2nd time iron shots=the shitockeys, but i was up and down 8 out of 8 times and the one GIR, i got birdie
both were great days
having a partner and playing games and competition for a little mulah is a lotta funComment
