  • Upright or rounded?

    Hi Curtis and all,

What's the way to definetively know what swing type suits me?

I am 172 cm and have wide shoulders and short arms.

    Thank you for your help.

    Toni.

    Hi Tony,

What type of swing do you have now and are you happy with it?

      Re: Upright or rounded?

      Hi Brian,

My swing was more upright in the past, but I've been working on it and making it more rounded because of some pros, articles and etc...
I think my swing is a strange mix nowadays, things from both types of swings.

Not too glad with it, of course.

I'd better go back to my natural, perhaps.

      Thanks.

      Toni.

        Re: Upright or rounded?

        Hi Toni,

I changed from a two plane to a one plane swing some time ago. I find the one plane swing more natural and repeatable, I am not sure if it is what you call a rounded swing but it tends to keep close to the original plane set at address with each club.

One of the best investments I made was to purchase Nick Bradley's book "The 7 Laws of the golf swing" it clarified so many things to me regarding the grip, balance, swing plane etc in great graphical detail. You may find it would assist you with this question.
