Re: New Shoes ?
hi js10w,
I've had a pair of footjoy (contour series) for the last 18 months. They have been absolutely fantastic. When the time comes to replace mine I'll certainly be purchasing another pair.
There are (or were) 2 versions. I recommed the white and brown ones. The black ones didn't feel as good.
I paid around £65 for them in the local pro-shop but I think they cost a liitle more in other retailers.

Re: New Shoes ?
What "style" of shoe are you looking for? I like the idea of some of the folks on Tour wearing some "less conservative" stuff (paving the way for clothes other than the standard, pleated khakis, baggy shirt, and saddle shoes), and so I was looking for something other than the all-black FootJoys I needed to replace...
Watching Ogilvy (sp?) win two summers ago (I think) clued me in to the fact that Puma was making golf shoes. I picked up a pair of leather ones and also a pair of the leather & fabric ones ("Breeze" series?). I have a narrow foot, and whereas these aren't "narrow" per se, they fit great, are super comfortable, the leather ones are GoreTex, both very light, and grip really, really well. And, they're unique (if you care at all), and always seem to illicit responses like "Who makes them? Hey, wait -- they're Pumas?!"
Granted, I get ribbed about them a lot by my friends, too -- and the ribbing always comes from the guys wearing shoes that look like they belong with a business suit. (Ironic, huh?) The best part is when you BEAT one of these guys who's been ripping on you all day, when you get to say "Yeah, well these shoes beat YOUR a$$." LOL
All of this being said, I still really like the looks of some of the Adidas Tour 360s -- they're just too wide for my feet. I think they, too, are a little less traditional looking while still looking all-business. I like that look, but you may not.
Can't go wrong with FootJoys, either...
Good luck!
