  • Shaft Question

I have a TM R7 460 that I bought last spring. The shaft is the stock Fujikura mid tip, s-flex and 60 grams. I hit it ok last year no complaints. But I was thinking about putting a new shaft in it. First, you hear a lot of pros & cons that when you buy your driver the manufacture should put the shaft in at the factory. You also hear it doesn't really make a difference. You can have a reputiable club maker replace your old shaft and it should be fine (as long as he fits you for the right shaft). I am wondering what you all thought.
    Thanks

    Re: Shaft Question

Dant, I got my R7 425s stock Fujikura 65S replaced with an Aldila NV 75S an inch longer at the butt and 2 inches trimmed off the tip which makes it play just the shy side of an X not quite X stiff but almost, and I have to say its turned it into a cannon. I can hit it as hard as I want and it just goes straight (ish).

Try some demo drivers that are roughly the same size and weight as your 460 with some non standrad shafts and see which one you like best then get your local clubmaker to order one up for you.
