I am glad winter will be over soon here, I have to wait untill about 8 am before it is warm enough to wear short sleeve shirts and about 9:30 till I can tolerate shorts
The main idea in golf as in life I suppose, is to learn to accept what cannot be altered and to keep on doing ones own reasoned and resolute best whether the prospect be bleak or rosy. Bobby Jones
The great thing about the British winter is days like we've had since earlier in the week - warm, slight breeze, blue skies; a little glimpse of spring sprung.
You know deep down I quite like winter because its sandwiched between autumn [Ed: That would be fall for our transatlantic readers] and spring and I'm not sure I fancy somewhere without seasons. The golf though I admit is a "challenge".

I sympathise - Tescos and some housework for me though with luck I'll be sitting down later for the Rugby.
After just getting to the grass range on Wednesday I can't wait to actually play in this weather.
I know the range is always different but you know how sometimes its like your swing belongs to someone else and sometimes you just wish it did?
Wednesday was the former, one of those "who said this game was difficult" sessions that if replicated on the course would be a different game than I'm used to - just hoping that when the good weather actually comes to stay I can re-capture the feeling.
My mo in law is so ungrateful. Last week I took her on a day out to dublin. The whole journey she never stopped nagging. In fact she didnt stop till I took her down from the roof rack!!

you know sometimes I wish we had cooler weather here. Like in the summer when it is 90* I have to get out of here in search of cooler weather so I will be going down to costa rica to surf in the 85* weather.
seriously though, I would like a change in weather like bdbl said. how warm it was here this winter is probably not a good sign. right now our ocean water temps are 70*, up about 8* from normal. I think we will be in for an early start to the hurricanes, and it might be a long season.
Lucky you to play in the winter. All of our courses close the middle of November and don't open until the first of March. Luckily my house is big enough to make a mini course through the rooms. Wife won't say anything as long as I don't take a divot of carpet or flooring in her kitchen.
