  • Greg Norman Secret

I am curious has anyone tried this? I just bought one off ebay for 5$ .. it seems to keep the right wrist in a stable position throughout the whole swing.. What are your reviews on it to people who've used it?

I have been trying it. It has helped my chipping MEGA! I want to try it on my longer game but too nervous to take it to the course. I want to try it on a range first. However, my only two local ranges are out of order at the moment.

After spending 2 days with my swing coach, it sounds like the Secret could teach me where the proper position for the right wrist is, but not necessarily how to get it there.

None the less - it seems as though the Secret puts you into the proper position for impact - and that you need to be there until after impact (cupped trailing wrist).

I suppose it would necessarily also give you a flat leading wrist at impact, and eliminate the ability to flip the hands through impact (a good thing).

Well I just got my Secret from ebay yesterday and I tried it on the range last evening. All I have to say is WOW. It seeems greg norman was really on something when he created this..... Its a million times better than any other aid ive used and beats kallasys.. The first shot I hit crisp and straight,, so I was thinking "hmm, maybe just a good first luck shot" so I hit another.. Same thing..3,4 5.. all solid ... I hit about 2 buckets and I can say I hit about 90% solid and far.. I still sliced a few and pushed some, but they still were hit crisp and far, and I could tell that I was either slicing or pushing when I wasn't using my hips and not rotating my body fully.. instead of thinking that it was my hands leaving the club open.. When I got the lateral hip turn fully I hit a far nice draw everytime.. I hit a couple 7 irons over 200..which has never happened to me before..Ive found keeping extremely light pressure on the right hand is very important. The right hand should be at least 50% lighter grip than the left.. On the left hand keep the three last fingers the tightest..

Another great thing is that it keeps the right first finger out of the swing(prevents you from adding pressure and choking and hittin the club with the right hand).. Which is very interesting because Ben Hogan and Jack nicholas actually practice golf with the right thumb and first finger off of the club sometimes to prevent the right hand from taking over..It keeps both hands as a unit instead of your right hand trying to kill the ball... this helped immesilly..

All in all it was a great pratice, one of th ebest ive had in my life probably.. It seems if your wrists aren't in place in the first place you can forget about everything else, no matter how nice your swing is.. It seems the maintained right angled wrist at impact is the most important thing in the swing, if you dont have it all the other moves you do in the swing won't add up correctly..
