All,
Just thought I'd share this with you.
I've been playing golf for around 2 years now and consistantly score sub-90 (best score 81). My biggest problem has been keeping the club on plane during the backswing - I end up too steep which generally resulted in an over the top downswing and the ball going left. I've had regular lessons but found it difficult to fix this problem.
I went to a different range a couple of nights ago and got chatting to one of the guys who collects the balls (he is about a 6 handicap). He took one look at my swing and was able to fix my problem almost instantaneously (i couldn't believe it). My ball striking has improved dramatically.
It was a very subte change - he told me to focus on starting my backswing with my left shoulder.
Any of you guys out there had advice from an unexpected source?
