I have a callus on my right index(pointer) finger. I am a righty, so no glove on that hand. The right index finger holds the grip in a "trigger" like position. I know many golfers who get a blister/callus there.

If you are getting them elsewhere, you....

    1) Are gripping the club with WAY too much pressue.
    2) Have worn grips and HAVE to grip the club with a lot of pressure.
    3) Combo of both above.

      Re: blisters

I haven't used a glove for years... I found that I was running through them quite quickly and decided that my hands could hack it. I know that many people rely on them.

I'd say that you need to check your grip presure.

Also to point out it could be that your hands are sweating a lot during your game, as I got these types of blinsters when I played in Thialand last year.

          Cheers

Hmmm good point. I dry my hands as often as possible. Best thing for me, and my gloves, is that I take my golf off around the greens. Chips, bunker shots, putts. Gives my hands a chance to dry off and gives my glove a couple minutes to dry out.

              Re: blisters

Blisters are normal for any new repeated activity. I develop many blisters when I practice for long periods but eventually the blister spots get calloused. For example, the first time I had unlimited range access I went out and hit over 700 balls. I ended up with 10 blisters, 7 on the right hand, 3 on the left.
