Re: Stolen Clubs - Insurance claim.

A woman was in the hospital after feeling very ill. The doctor says to her, "I have some bad news for you. You only have three months to live."

"Oh that's terrible," the woman sighs, "what am I going do?"

The doctor replies, "Marry an insurance agent."

"Will I live longer?" asks the woman. "

No," replies the doctor, "but it will SEEM longer."

Re: Stolen Clubs - Insurance claim.

latest update, received a letter from ins company this morning advising me that they will not be paying up for the stolen clubs.

The reason they give "Exclusions whilst in an unattended vehicle - Loss or damage of any kind between midnight and 7am unless the vehicle is in a locked garage."

My car was on my drive way with the clubs in the boot when I went to bed at 2200, I discovered the break in at 1000 the next morning. I now have to appeal against their decision, hopefully they'll accept that the clubs were stolen either before midnight of after 7am. I'm prepared to get a solicitor involved if they don't agree with this.

Sorry for your loss in the theft, but your bout with the insurance company is humorous. You tried to rip them off by claiming clubs that were more valuable than the ones you actually bought, and they've come up with a scam to deny coverage. Gotta love it.

You will have to prove that the clubs where stolen during the Insured period of cover, if you cant your claim will not be paid, You will be wasting your time and money involving a solistitor, if its in the policy wording and you where provided with this information it is highly unlikely the Insurer will budge. If youve got a decent broker see if they can speak to the Insurers on your behalf. Good Luck
