Bizarrely, it was see-through
The squareness and transparency would also explain why the first time I hit it I lost it

I haven't seen one of those but I tried some Pinnacle CLR balls when in the USA. They also have a transparent outer cover that looks a bit different but had a nice soft feel to them and seemed fairly scuff proof.Comment

Seriously though I've used Noodles in the past (though not the ice) - the one I used had excellent distance but you'd have to be a far better golfer than me to get the thing to hold the green especially in dry weather.Comment

Apparently you can also get them in green. Who in their right mind would make a green golf ball?!
Anyway, think I'll get some, try 'em, and hope thgey last longer than the last one.
