Last thursday (21 June) me and 3 friends played 4 rounds of golf in a day.
It was all in aid of charity (macmillan cancer relief) - it is a national programme that is supported by Colin Montgomerie.
I was expecting it to be fairly tough going but it turned out to be a fairly easy and thoroughly enjoyable today. We started at 4.30am and finished at around 9pm. We played at Wetherby in North Yorkshire; the course is 6500yds, par 72.
I feel a bit guilty taking sponsorship money off people as they are simply paying me to do what I love doing - playing golf! There was no hardship involved at all.
Anybody else out there done anything similar?
