  • Range balls

    quick question for you all

when at the range do the balls that you use there spin less?

i know they dont go the distance that your normal ball would go but do you get less sidespin with them?

a work colleague commented that he's hitting straight as a die at the range but suffers with a fade/slice when playing on the course

    Re: Range balls

I would think the range would get the hardest balls they can so they last longer. Therefore they probably spin less.

On a side note: If I could take my range game to the course I would shoot in the 70s. Its easier to get in a rythem on the range. People tend to overswing when they get on the course.

      Re: Range balls

Most range balls are a one piece construction for durability. They will produce less spin than a two or three piece ball so will reduce the severity of slices and hooks and will travel less distance.
