Thanks for your advice, I went to the range, and thought about everything that everyone said all at once and hit the ball about 10 feet. So I decided tro take my time, and try one thing at a time. After a few shots, I realized the my comfortable stance was cocked a bit, throwing me off, as well as lifting my left knee. Now I adjusted my stance and I keep my left leg pretty stiff and planted and I am hitting straight and pretty far, in my opinion of a beginner. Thanks for your advice and help.

Top banana old chap .. good to see you getting in the groove. I wouldn't tense your left side though, that might transform into the reverse pivot and make you dig at the ball steeply.

On word on tempo too. I you swing like I suggested and turn your legs to the target whilst leaving the shoulders at the top of the swing, it will probably make you swing too fast to begin with. You need to take it easy and, for some, it may be avisible to do an exaggerated slow swing.
