I will have to disagree with that. While using the hands properly is important, I believe-IMHO(ok, maybe not so humble)-the placement of the hands allows them to work together or not. In order to use the hands effectively, they have to work together.
Poor placement of the hands, in the words of Harvey Penick, is the root cause of most swing problems.

I'd think that by 43 posts, you'd have some sort of feeling for the spirit of GTO by now, Guys, please help Bampot with his question.Last edited by Ian Hancock; 08-08-2007, 07:19 AM.

Sorry Bampot I have not read the book so cannot assist you.
I did state an opinion on one of the posts and apologise if that has offended you, it was not intended to, that's the way many of the threads evolve in an open forum. Of course we should also do our best to answer the original post.

Re: A new way to better golf. Alex J.Morrison
I assume that Bampot has by now received an answer to his question on a review of "A New Way to Better Golf" by Alex J. Morrison. So this response is extremely late, but perhaps someone else will find it helpful.
I just finished the book which I obtained from Great Britain. I am a 76 year old guy who has lost much distance. I found Morrison's ideas very helpful for me by increasing the length of my swing and by taking advantage full advantage of cetrifugal force.
He promotes left side dominance thoroughly and describes all aspects of the swing which I found very easy to follow and perform. I have not used the swing on the golf course but have practice in a net and found my swing speed much faster and easier to move the club at higher speeds than I have in my past swing.
The book is very old (written in 1932) but I found Morrison well ahead of his time and the book well written. If someone is having trouble increasing clubhead speed, I highly recommend this book if you can find one.
