On hot humid days, my grips tend to slip and turn in my hands upon contact with the ball. The result is usually a mishit to the right of the target. What is the best way to prevent that from happening? For the record, I don't wear a glove (probably should) and my grips are still new given that I bought the clubs last fall. Anyway, there has to be a remedy for this. Just want to know what you guys do to solve this.

Re: Preventing grip slippage
I would suggest wearing a glove and taking an extra to change out; I put the wet glove on the cart steering wheel etc. to air out and dry while I wear the dry one.
Wipe your grips with a towel by rubbing against the grain up and down vigorously.
Don't use Winn soft grips because any smooth grip will be slippery when wet. I like multicompound grips, they seem to breath better and have textured surfaces which give you more to grip without having to grip hard.
Wipe your arms periodically because this is a source of moisture running down into your glove/hands.
Don't use your hands to apply things like lotions, sunscreen, bug repellant-that stuff is slippery. Get sprays if you must use that stuff.

Re: Preventing grip slippage
hi
wash your grips with washing up liquid and dab it dry with a towel, when it gets wet or damp it gets sticky to touch and dont slip. does work as up here in scotland it does seem to rain a lot of the time. when its dry grips dont feel tacky only feel like then when a bit wet.
