I've been motivated this last week. A clubmaker friend of Mine received some new shafts. He put a SMT Nemesis together for me to test. I think the shaft was a SWB. Although I never heard of them they performed pretty well. I hit 4 shots 300+ and several other approaching that. Had to back off the shaft a litttle as it was whippy for my swing.
I was wondering if anyone plays with a steel shaft in their driver. Can someone give me some feedback as to how it hits compared to graphite? Is the club shorter because of steel? Any recommendations for a 300+ hitter style swing? I don't know my swing speed.
My friend has done graphite for years. I guess I want to get a feel before I dive in.
