  • Unbelievable...

Just thought I would share. Last weekend I went out for the first time in quite a long while. Didn't play all that well 6 shots over my handicap. The most memorable hole...278meter drive on a PAR 4 on to the green followed up with a 4 putt!!!! Unbelievable...

What do you all find goes first after not playing for a while, your long game or your short game??? It appears that my short game needs some serious work.

    hi sumosid
i have had a 3 week break due to going on holiday and im playing a comp tomorrow.
im planning on hitting the range tonight and just concentrating on getting my tempo right as i played 9 holes yesterday and was pulling d=shots due to bad timing

My short game touch definately goes first. Chips and pitches.

          hi
i always spend at least 10 minuets on the practice putting greens and make a point of always being about 30 minuets early so i can use them, i think if you get 36 shots a round putting then if i don't have time to go to the range first (which i never seen to have?) then i will try and get the pace of my putting and some feel before i start my round.
its something i have always done and don't think about it, i like to be early as it lets me get my head into gear and start thinking about how i want to play and whats the winds like and if the fairways wet or dry.
also lets me warm up a little too.
two of my friend always turn up late and in a hurry and never seem to play well of the tee till about the 3 hole.
