  • Which Hybrid?

I am not comfortable with fairway woods but hit driver, irons, hybrids well. I have a 4-sw iron set along with my driver. I was considering getting a 17 degree hybrid instead of a fairway wood like a three or four wood. Would this be a good set makeup? I hit driver about 240 and 4 iron about 190. I figure the 17 hybrid would put me in between maybe 220.

    Thanks

I have a 9 to 5 iron, four wedges (LW, SW, GW and PW) Two hybrids - 19 deg and 22 deg, a 3 wood and driver. The 22 deg hybrid is a good replacement for a 4 iron with more shot making opportunities. The 19 hybrid replaces a 3 iron and a 5 wood well and has more playability.

I don't hit fairway wood shaped things well at all. Wishon is unveiling the 585HI - an iron-shaped hybrid without the big scoop back à la the Cleveland Hibore FWs'.

      I think you're fine with a 17 or 18 degee hybrid.
