I would surmise that most of us remember that particular statement, when Tiger's Nike hung on the lip then dropped for one of the most improbable birdies in the history of golf. I took a few hours off work yesterday to watch the conclusion of the Woods-Holmes match. When he was 3 down with 5 to play I commented to my wife " well I guess he's done ". I would suggest if it was any other golfer in the world, he would be done !
A 285 yard 5 wood from the rough on a 600 yard par 5 and drops the long eagle putt, dead center, are you kidding me ! Wow, we all know in match play anything can happen, but is there anyone other than Tiger that can pull it out like that ??
All credit to J.B. the kid done his best, gracious in defeat, he was defeated by the best player in the world. Tiger is well on course to becoming the greatest golfer in the history of golf, they talk about the " Grand Slam ". In my opinion Tiger's already won that, holding the Master's, U.S. Open, Open and PGA championships at one time is a feat in this sport that only he has the ability to match whether it's in a calendar year or not.
