  • Golf Glove Confusion

I am in need of buying a new golf glove and I have just always grabbed something cheap at the local discount store. Having invested in some new clubs and actually trying to better my game I am wondering if someone can tell me what is the difference in a regular style and a cadet style glove. What material should I look for (specific type of leather or synthetics?) or does it matter and is it really worth paying more for a particular brand?

I appreciate any input on this and thanks for the help

    Re: Golf Glove Confusion

Cadet is the length of the fingers (being slightly shorter then the regular).
All leather gloves are the best feel. They are thin, so you have the best feedback. They are better at overall grip. But they last much shorter then the synths. It's all about your wallet. How often to you play/practice. I like to practice with a synth or old leathers and let then fall off in tatters, and play with new leathers on the course.

To help keep them longer, I take them off after shots. Sweat will cause all sorts of wear on them of you hit a lot of shots when wet. I also rotate about 2-3 in a round and attach the ones I am not using to the cart to air dry.
