Does anyone know what hybrids replace which standard clubs? I know that there was a chart out there somewhere, but if someone can post the hybrid degree and replacement club, I'd appreciate it! I've got a 22* and a 26* on the way...

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.

Re: Hybrid Clubs
That one is horses for courses - it's impossible to say which clubs do what because we all hit the ball differently. You might get 150 yards with a 5 iron and I might get 180. If you saw such a list of information it may have been sombody's personal data or a dodgey marketing tatic. A year a go the fashion was for rescue clubs (hybrids) but they seem to have dropped by the waiside a little. As you know you can only bag 14 clubs so carry such a specific club limits your general gameplay depending on how diverse the club is.

Hmmm... sometimes my brain just plain quits working.
Yes - I should hit 'em at the range to figure out what clubs they replace.
Thanks!

Re: Hybrid Clubs
It's difficult to tell because the hybrid clubs have higher performance shafts than your irons. If you are looking for degree comparisons:
APPROXIMATELY:
15* = 3 wood
18* = 5 wood/2 iron
21* = 7 wood/3 iron
24* = 9 wood/4 iron
27* = 11 wood/5 iron
etc.........

Re: Hybrid Clubs
Well, I just played a half round with my new hybrids... and I love them. Easy to hit, easy to control... so long 5 iron. The other one is 1 degree more lofted than my 5 wood, so I'll say goodbye to my 5 wood, too.
These things are so impressive, I'm wondering how many clubs I can replace with hybrids...
