    new vs old big bertha

    21 is going to be my return to The game
    so I am having a look on all that new equipment to see if its worth changing in my old clubs.
    first the driver, I have a first generation Big Bertha, how does that compare to the latest series?

    I too have a first generation Big Bertha (9 degree). I love it. I have hit the newer, biger versions,
    and they are good too.

    But there is nothing better than teeing up with the
    original Big Bertha when someone in your group has just spent a
    ton of money on a newer, bigger version, and you still
    out-drive them by 40-50 yards every time.

    I believe the original Big Bertha with the smaller head really allows for a higher club head speed.

    I hit this driver 300-320 consistantly, and could never consider switching.
