  • Old Spaldings

Hi everyone. Have a question. I started playing golf a few days ago and I just fell in love with it

My dad played a bit of golf many years ago, so he gave me his clubs when I first whent to the drive-range.

The Driver and 3 wood are of Spalding Tee-flite kind, and the 3, 5, 7 and 9 irons are Spalding Tee Flite Power stroke. The putter seems to be from the same sort, but only has spalding marked on it. Anyone recognize this set ? Is it good for a beginner ? Is it that good taht I can still use it when I get better ?

    Regards,
    Guðlaugur

    Re: Old Spaldings

I learned off a set similar to that one. The heads are going to be very unforgiving to todays standards, and the shafts will be about as weak as you can stand it. I would spend a day at a golf shop and think about getting your first real set. You will be better off if you are thinking about getting serious about playing a lot.
