Im looking at a set of eye2's and a set of ISI's both are fairly priced. Any suggestions? This is only my second year of playing and my X-14 pro's are not working well for me.

Re: Ping eye2's or ISI's ?
hi
the ping eye II has a small head and was the top selling club ever made so there are plenty of them about.
the ISI and zings have a much bigger head and are even more forgiving than the eye II.
a lot of people don't like the look of the big head on the zings and ISI. so check that your happy how the look in your hands before buying.
hope you find the right clubs but get them fitted to be sur they match your swing.
i like the feel of the Zings better than the eye II but the eye II has the best one iron ever made aand i still use mine.
the ping eye II wedges are still used by some pros.
if getting ping eye II then look for a dot or a + on the back of the head and this tells you its a legal club. if it don't have a dot or + then it have the ilegal square groves but if you only play club level then it won't matter.
check the ping site to see if there is an open day near you and ping will fit your clubs for free. if not they will have to be sent back to ping for fitting.
ping have a color code for fitting so look up the fitting chart to make sure you go for the right color code.
cheers

Re: Ping eye2's or ISI's ?
Thanks for that info, after alot of reading and asking some questions to owners i think i might try the Eye 2 as they are readily avail around here now, there was a nice set os ISI's for sale but now sold, the other ones grooves are in pretty bad shape. They were both $250 a set and the eye2s were mint. I will prolly add a set of ISI's in the future tho.

Enjoy you Eye2s. They are great set of clubs, and for the price, you have done well. I have a set in storage I don't use, but maybe once or twice a year for sentimental reasons. I still play ok with them, but I prefer the newer technology which helps me play better. That being said, I am not now playing Pings. GJS

Re: Ping eye2's or ISI's ?
Thanks ,
I played with them today..and i must say. Everything they say about these irons is true. I was able to stick a few more greens, which is saying alot for my game. I got to try out some of the new irons from Ping and they are good, but for me who is not a real great player yet, ill play the Eye2's for now. But they will always have a home in one of my bags.
