    Golf Project Research

    Hello,

    I am a product design student and have recently taken on a project related to the area of putting. Initially, I am trying to gather some background information from golfers about their golfing styles and behaviours, and would be most grateful to those willing to spend a couple of minutes of their time to answer a few questions.

    hi
    i putt sidesaddle facing the hole and both eyes on the hole not the ball. here i a picture of the way i putt and it does work really well.

      A bit of a threadnap sorry but does anyone have a link to a simple guide to side saddle putting?

        both will give you an idea about it. i have used it over three years now and would not go back to the old way of putting. you get some funny looks but when they see just how good you putt the want a shot of the broomhandle putter and try facing the hole and looking with both eyes at the hole.

          It's gotta be the closest thing to rolling the ball there with your hand.

          I'd need a left handed broomhandle!

            i use the open right hand hand with just the thumb gripping the shaft against the palm of my hand. so the hand faces the target and its like you say you just push the palm of your right hand to the hole of the target.
            i'm rather short at 5"8 so with the broomhandeld putter i stand up more upright with my left hand at my right underarm. i think bowling is the nearest thing to it, you dont move any part of your body but your right arm and it really feel so easy once you get use to it. i also think looking at the hole with two eyes help you judge the distance better, i only really think of distance and don't spend much time on line. i find my line is good 80/90% of the time, if i look at the line to long i start second guessing.
            so first look seems to work for me.
