My wife (God bless her soul) Has offerd to buy me a new set of golf clubs (irons) for my Christmas present. My current clubs are about 20 years old and purchased them "Off the rack" I would like to know the proper steps or maybe just some tips to take when looking for fitted clubs. I am 56 years old and in good phisical shape and plan on playin into my golden years. Any advice?

PCS Class 'A' Clubfitter
A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
Re: How do I choose new clubs
I highly suggest you find yourself a reputable fitter. There are a pair of organisations: The AGCP and the ICG; both will be able to offer fitter suggestions.
