A few weeks ago, I was at a party at Maryland's eastern shore on a river's edge. Drunk and a little silly, we bet that someone can't clear the bank (about 280 yds out was my guess). So we get out my driver (I never travel with out them) and take turns whacking my new Pro-Vs one after the other into the river... A few get close but unfortunately, all the tees I had are now gone as they all got popped into the river along with the balls.

So with about 10 balls left and no more tees, we call it quits with no one making the bank to the other side. Really bothered the more beer I had -- those beautiful, shiny new balls mocking me, I start to think of a way to make tees. We try everything from a pile of sticks, to risking it off a beer bottle. Then in a stroke of genius, I found that balancing a cork on the ground and a bottle cap on the cork and a ball on the cap was the perfect tee. So, away I went and in what must have been unbridled enthusiasm at the new invention cleared the banks to roars of cheers!

Later that week really bored while driving 6 hours to New York, I came up with this prototype in my head.

I know they make these plastic tees that have stoppers to regulate the height, but I think they really never caught on because it was never adjustable. Plus, the cork is virtually unbreakable. Those plastic ones break all the time.

They would be custom fitted with any slogan burned into them. Would anyone consider buying these? I just wanted to get your feedback first before I go do something silly.
