I was wondering if any was looking for a 980f 3 wood stiff shaft? as i would like to get a different wood? im looking for a swap realy , Thanks Steve

Here's a silly question - you're 14, right? So, why in the world would you get a stiff shaft in your clubs? I have troubles seeing how you could generate enough club head speed to need a stiff shaft. Seriously - go get fitted properly and match up your frequency. -

DNA always go for the lightest shaft you can use. It cuts down fatigue and doesnt punish you too much when you arent swinging well. Stick with regular until accuracy becomes an issue.

Are you mad?
What are you going to do with a stiff shaft, go fishing? Don't even think of stiff shaft until your clubhead speed reaches 100mph and your swing efficiency reaches at least 2.2. Swing efficiency is a formula your club fitter will work with and it takes swing speed, ball speed and distance into account.
Get a regular flex:
1. 45g Fujikira speedster shaft (brownish with black writing), or
2. 55g Cleveland Launcher shaft cut to 3-wood length (your club fitter should be able to do this)
3. 55g Aldila NV (the green one)
4. 55g Graffaloy Blue (the blue one with white writing! )
5. 55g Harrison Striper shaft (yellow with blue & white tagging).
Steve, don't even think of stiff shaft anything until you're swing at least 100mph and your ball speed in around 180mph!Comment

American Golf Discount or Nevada Bob's is always a good place to start.

I just got the Harrison Striper (Blue and Yellow) put into my 3W and it tested off the charts! The shaft is relatively inexpensive. Again, make sure you get your frequency matched when you get fitted.
As for a shop that does this, ask at your local club house who is the best custom club maker around - they will point you in the right direction.Comment

Can do that, sure. Also have a quick look at golfbidder.co.uk. Just watch out with costs. You might end up paying more for it than buying it once off from a retailer.
When I get to the studio in the morning, I'll look up a qualified club fitter and let you know...

Well i hav bin playing for 8 months, and im a 28 handicap
and im not shure about my swing speed, teaching pro i bet you have a spare shaft kicking around

Your age isn't as big of a factor of swing speed/shaft flex needed as is the distance you hit the ball. How far do you hit a 9 iron? 5 iron?Comment
