Yeah I've hit some of the Honma irons. A friend of mine, who is a club pro, used to stock them. Not bad quality or design and the components are typical of a 3rd string manufacturer. For a weekend golfer, they're quite fine.
They're expensive because of volume costing. The first string outfits will sell in a week what Honma sell in a year.
