So i got my x-12's from a local pro shop and they are used but in great condition. A friend of mine told me that if it doesnt have a serial number on the head of the 8 iron it could be a fake. It also says that on the callaway site. The clubs dont look fake and they look like any other x-12's, but i want to know for sure.

I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.

Re: Callaway x-12's.. counterfeit?
I do not believe the X-12's have a serial number on the clubs. I checked my X-14's and they do not have serial numbers (they're legit too) and I have some X-12's stashed away that I could check on if you needed (although it isn't a complete set but I still could check.) These clubs came out in the early 90's when counterfeit clubs weren't a problem.
Did you buy them recently? If you bought them from golfsmith or some other big store (which one?) I probably wouldn't worry about it.Last edited by BDR444; 03-21-2005, 08:47 PM.
