Hello!! I am about a 6 handicpaper and am an average ball striker. I am seeking a new set of irons that are forgiving yet offer some workability and would prefer to stay away from the blade like/muscle back type of clubs. Any ideas would be great!! Go Low!!

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.

Re: New Irons
You are looking for a set of cavity backs, so go check them out at you local golf store/pro shop. I would look for what is appealing to your eye, pcket book and then demo the top 5 on your list. Each person will ahve a different opinion, so go with what's best for you.
As for what's rated the highest in teh game improvement iron catagory: Ping followed by Callaway.

Re: New Irons
Droopy,
Have a go at the Hogan Edge CFT they are nice looking bats and they are a good combination of forgiveness and workability.
Others you might try are Mizuno MX-23, MX-17. Taylor Made RAC LT, Titleist 704, Ping ISI or Callaway X-14.
Good Hunting,
D.
