This past weekend i went to a local dealer and hit the Callaway ERC Fusion and the Cobra 454 Comp. I only hit them in a room so i dont know where the hits would have ended up but They felt long and straight as an arrow. I also wish to try the Nike ignite. What are the pros and cons of each club?

Re: ERC Fusion vs. 454 Comp vs. Ignite
Bonzi,
One point I noticed about your thread is that all shots will be straight for the first 5 yards into a net, you must take them out or hit at the range to get a good idea.
As for pros and cons, with all the main manufactures there are no cons, they all have superb backup should your new driver shaft split or head come loose.
If you mean pros and cons with each club, then its a matter of personal preference, which you like the look and feel off, after all you are the man who is going to have to use it.
The only real con is second hand value and you can rely on one thing you will loose money if you trade in for the latest greatest version.
One of my moans is that if every new driver promises an extra ten yards I should be driving around 550yrds by now............
Good luck in your search.

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.

Re: ERC Fusion vs. 454 Comp vs. Ignite
Bonzi, buy your driver second hand if you can, all that lovely depreciation will have already been swallowed by the imbecile that got hooked by the advertising.
Pros and Cons
Cobra 454: Superb bats really solid feeling probably the best value of the three. They suffer from a lower brand recognition and their standard fit shafts are a bit girly to be honest.
ERC Fusion: Nice club very long flight. Ugly as the day is long though and again Callaways OEM shafts are pretty naff.
Nike Ignite: Tiger likes em I suppose.....so does Ricky, mind you (that should get him typing lol) they do smoke the ball pretty well but they suffer the same problem as the 983K, no real feel off the face unless you swing at 120mph+....Nike's gear is seriously overpriced as well, its good enough if it was in the upper band of the mid range price bracket but they are charging premium prices for stuff that isnt premium quality.......yet.
Before you decide have a shot of Srixon's W-302, its a seriously sweet bat even with the OEM shaft. I tried one as a loner when my Snake Eyes was getting built and I almost cancelled the build!!!!

Re: ERC Fusion vs. 454 Comp vs. Ignite
Unfortunately, illegal now Glock, at least for any half serious competitive golf. I'm not sure what Bonzi's requirements are though so he may well be advised to head along to JJB or whoever.....
R580's are nice indeed but the XD is illegal whereas there are normal versions that are not, if you must dabble, look for one fitted with a Mitsubishi Rayon shaft....really sweet.....
