  • Buying single clubs

In my bag I have a driver, 5-wood, 7-wood, irons 4-9, PW, SW & LW. I hit the woods just great and replaced the SW and LW from the original iron set with Cleveland 588 and will probably do the same with the PW.

I'm considering buying some new irons over the summer but since I'll probably only use 4-9 I was wondering if it's cheaper to buy individual clubs rather than a full set. Do many manufacturers/retailers do this? The only place I've seen it mentioned so far was on the Titleist website?

I'm sure it can be done, and I'm sure there's a breaking point between buying individual clubs and buying a set.

Innovexgolf.com has some great sticks, and the price is firm, whether you buy a set or singles.

If you go to a golf superstore (Golf Town, Golf Galaxy, etc...) you can custom order a set of clubs and they will get you only the clubs you want. It is better this way because then the irons will be fit to YOU, not just some clubs off the shelf.
