  • Taylormade RAC LT 2s

    Guys,

I need to appoligise for all my threads in the past about Callaway X16 Pro Series irons, going on about how good they are etc etc..............

I have just been fitted and ordered a new set of these Taylormade RAC LT 2s.

Callaways are great, however tried the X18s and I thought they are not better than my present Callaway's. After loads of clubs tested I have settled for the Taylormades.

Don't tell me how shallow I am...........I Know..........First thing I thought about when ordering "GTO lads will be calling me"...

Please don't say they are rubbish either..

Well Ian, a friend of mine upgraded from his old Clevelands to a set of these. He was always a big hitter and he reckons he now needs one club less with the Taylormades and he still hits the ball as straight as an arrow. Somehow I don't think you'll be disappointed.

      Cheers

        Ian,

I always regarded you as one of my GTO friends. You've just ruined our friendship!

I am green with envy ... AAAAHHHHH ... I've just got a new set of Hogan blades from them but sadly I have to admit the LT2's would be my weapons of choice if I could get TM clubs.

You've gome some fine clubs there, yes indeed. Enjoy them!

I'm gonna go cry now and I was having so much fun today.

Guys, what's going on? Ian's switched from Callaway and Graham's hankering after cavity backs. Next thing we'll find is that Darryl has changed his name to Wilsonman!

I'd play with LT2's. Strange but true ... anytime! Not that I dislike my new Hogan's but they are VERY NICE!

Thanks Guys for the vote of confidence.....

I suppose I'm no different than a tour player (except they are a little better players) they swop their club manufactures.

I have to say it didn't take money though, looking at the threads I made the right choice.

Thanks....just two weeks wait now AGHHHHHH

                  Re: Taylormade RAC LT 2s

I have the original LTs (would recommend to anyone) and, out of curiosity, what's difference between my sticks and the new LT 2s? Looks and price tag is on my list so far. Can anyone enlighten me?

Top quality bats Ian, I really like the look of the new Taylor Made range. The TP's will be in my shopping list the end of next year I think. I was planning on MP30's but the TM's are just too nice....

                        Mizunoman,

I tried both and returned the LT2s. I liked the sticks but the feel was gone after switching back to a CB. I now play the MP30s and they are exactly what I needed. An easy to hit iron with the feel of the blades. Try to demo both on course before buying.

                          Hi Eddie,

Was there anything else you didn't like other than being a blade man, going back to cavs didn't suit.

                          Thanks Ian.

                            Hey Ian,

The clubs were great, but I lost the feel in the heads!!!!!!!!!! The flight was a lot higher than my Cleveland TA3, but I wanted to try to go for a more forgiving club. I was turned on to the Mizuno MP30 by a friend in the industry and I can tell you that they are the DADDIES of clubs in my opinion. If you have any other question feel free to ask.

                              Hi Ian,

I've been reading you posts regarding the Taylormade LT irons and I'm planning on buying a new iron set soon.

Therefore I've made a short list which includes the Taylormade LT or OS. I can't figure out what the best choice would be. I've been playing around hcp 16 for about two years now and feel I have to switch to a new set. I've been studying the Taylormade website and can't predict what the differences in off-set and sole width would mean to my game. Off course I will go to the shop and try them out, but I've not found a shop yet who sells both series where I live in The Netherlands. So I figured to ask you first (being the Taylormade specialist in this thread).

                              Thanks for advising
                              Lester
