Hey, what Tee's do you guys use?
After getting sick of breaking my 78mm wooden tee after one shot I have moved onto the Crown Lift tees.
Very nice and longer lasting, only problem is they fly about 10 yards if you dont leave it in the ground, can be hard to find!

I like to use the step-down tees, 2.75", so I'm not faffing with the tee height. Seems to me that every little thing I can do to enhance consistency is a good thing.

Anyone been using those brush tees? Are they any good or just another gimmick?

        Re: Tees

I've tried the brush tees and I would throw them into the "gimmick" category. I still have a couple in my golf bag because I like the wooden tees better. Here's what I don't like about the brush tees:
        • I like to line the ball name up so it shows me the direction of my tee shot and using the brush tee, it just rolls all over in the brushes.
        • It's hard to set the correct tee height because you have to push down in the middle of the brush to get it set right. Using wooden tees you can use the ball to push down and set the correct height.
        • I honestly, don't notice a hoots bit of difference in ball flight or distance. I think it's all psychological. Your mileage may vary.

        Just my two cents worth.

I use white 2 3/4" tees. I only pull them when I pull my driver (Which snapped @ the hosel today ). Otherwise, I grab a broken tee.

I use wooden tees that are colored for one reason. THey give me feedback on where I am Stricking the ball. After each drive, I check the bottom of my driver. The paint trail left from the tee tells you exactly what your swing plane is.

              Do you countersink your hosel?

                Re: Tees

I use to types of tees, one for my irons and faieway woods, this is a step tee and is 1/4 inch high, it's almost like hitting the ball off the deck. The other for my driver is a plastic tee, it is 2 3/3 inch and it is a flat shape not round, and it fly's out of the ground i have used the same tee for up to 3 rounds i lose them not break them.
