Anyone heard of this brand before?

    Re: Gosen

Yes, but I only know them as being associated with making tennis and badminton racquets. I suppose we could invent another sport, hitting a a golf ball round with a tennis racquet. I might score even better.

    Cheers.

Yeah it does seem like its focus is more on racquet strings?

I ask this because I was over at Batam for a round of golf last weekend, and saw a beautiful set of clubs by Gosen, with a very nice two-ball putter. And it was priced very nicely, less than USD300 (for the whole set)!

        Re: Gosen

I wouldn't ever say don't buy the clubs because I have never used them and know they are good value for money. However, if you look at any golf site, even hybrid golf sites, you won't see a make of clubs by Gosen. I did check out the Gosen site and I must say the clubs didn't make me want to throw my Taylormade LT's away in exchange for a set. What I'm trying to say is that it is worth holding on until a decent set of clubs become affordable, and do this by buying your golf equipment online. It's far cheaper than in the pro-shops. Buying a set that you will 'probably' want to replace in a year or two, will work out more expensive in the long run.

Despite all the above, if your clubs at the minute won't last, and you do intend buying a cheaper set for now, then save yourself even more money buying a hybrid set. Just type hybrid golf clubs into google and you'll see loads of sites.

        Cheers.
        Lee.

Thanks Lee. I was actually looking at the ladies set for my wife. Well I have wanted to get a two-ball putter for her anyway and that comes to around SGD200 (Singapore dollars). I figured a complete Gosen set including the two-ball putter for SGD400+ sounds like a good deal. She's not really that into golf, if you know what I mean

I have the two ball gosen putter; it has kicked two odyssey putters and my favorite yes tracy putter out of the bag for the last 2 months as I am averaging under two putts per hole with it...expensive or not, give them a go!
