  • Dinamic Gold SL shafts.

    Hi all,

Has somebody already tried the new True Temper Dinamic Gold Superlite shafts?

I've been using Dinamic Gold S300 since I started playing golf five years ago and now that I am about forty years old, they feel a bit heavy for me.
So I'd like to know if it's worth switching to a lighter iron shaft or not.

    Thanks.

    Toni.

    Re: Dinamic Gold SL shafts.

I am pretty much in the same situation as you are since I am using S300 stiff in my DCI 990. However, I have recently bought a set of 690CB with SL stiff shafts (shipping is on its way). From what I know, the S300 gives the club a D3 swingweight while the SL gives more like a D2.5. I have tried it once and it definitely does seem lighter (in the net), but I still feel like it was as comfortable to swing with it.

I will let you know when I fully try out the set.

Its a commonly held opinion amongst club fitters that every player should play the lightest club they can control. As far as I remember, the SL shafts are about 10-12 grams lighter. If you have no problems with the lighter shaft its a win win situation. Lighter weight allows greater clubhead speed (more distance and height) and lower fatigue towards the end of a round (less weight lifted through the round, just like a runner and lightened shoes).

Get your hands on a couple of demo clubs with the SL shafts and compare them to your own.
