Anyone ever play these? I'm exploring older irons, just for kicks, and I'm wondering if they're still relevant. Are they comperable to today's clubs, or totally out of date?

Re: Titleist DCI 990's
You can find these somewhat older clubs on eBay for next to nothing now. I remember David Duval used them before he started shooting like me
I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to shell out $150 to check them out.

Re: Titleist DCI 990's
I am using them now and I think they are great clubs. The design are like a cavity muscle back with forgiveness on off center shots. Very workable but obviously, you dont get that nice forged clubs feel. Many pros did use them and I can certainly go low with them too.
I highly recommend them for the exact reason that you mentioned as they are very cheap these days (I know since I am thinking of selling them and shocked to see the price). If you dont want to fork out big money and are happy with older models, then go for it. Technology hasnt changed much at all in Titleist. I bought the 690CB recently purely for that forged feel but wouldnt have changed them otherwise.
