buying used irons sets...

hey,
I am looking at getting different irons, but I am looking in the price range of about $200. I'm not really sure irons are good though. I found used Tommy Armour, Ben Hogan, and Snake Eyes in that price range. Are these good Brands to get?

Also would it be better to get used brand names, or get clubs like Callaway Clones???

To me, the first thing you need to do is figure out what irons will be best for you, then buy the irons that fit that need.

I currently hit SnakeEyes 600XC's, for what it's worth. Of course, I refuse to pay top dollar for OEM clubs (and build my own). There are so many quality designs out there, that, IMO, there's never a need to buy a clone. A clone looks like the OEM design, but doesn't necessarily perform like it. That's not to say that you can't play them, but that they may not be as good as the OEM design that 'inspired' them.
