  • The new r7 Quad REAX Shaft, anyone tried?

Hi, has anyone tried the new Taylormade r7 Quad 425 or 460 with the REX Fujikura shaft? I was considering getting one, is it a big update from the old MAS 2 shaft? I have that standard shaft in my 580XD, and i don't like it at all. So any thoughts from anybody would be great! Thanks.

    hello,

My dad has had both and hit it a mile he did'nt know what had happend to him when he first hit the 460. the 425 is for more a tour pro. the 460 is more for a club golfer. they are both good though.

    Liam,

        Hi Darrell,

You can buy 2 8s for your 460 and put them in for a very slight draw bias, insead of the standard weights.

It works fine and a slightly lower ball flight.

Hi thanks for the comments, but im mainly interested in the new REAX shaft. How does it compare to the old MAS2 shaft that Taylormade used to use?
          Thanks again.

I play the 460 and like it a lot, and i have read that it compares very favourably with the old shaft.

Always best to try these things yourself tho'
