  • clubfitters in the uk

    hi all
can any of you point me in the right direction?
im looking in the not too distant future to get a new set of clubs and would prefer to be fiited properly than buying straight off the rack.
can anyone recommend a good clubfitter.
    i live in manchester
    thanks in advance

    There you go

If you do go this route why not write up the experience for here.

    Good Luck

      Hi mate.

American golf offer free fitting on all their clubs and there are plenty of stores around manchester.

      cheers

            Hi

            How did the fitting go?

I'm also considering being fitted for my next set of irons. I know of a reputable fitter near to me, but was wondering what the cost was likely to be? The websites all claim that it is cheaper, but with the abundance of 'Golf Warehouse' (Direct Golf etc) websites is this true?

            Thanks for your help

              hi matt
really enjoyed the experience the fitter was very thorough.
im going to pick them up at the weekend.
the 6i that was made up for me was perfect great sensation when hitting the ball
the flight was straight and about 10-12 yards further than i normally hit a 6i
ive ordered 7 clubs 5i-sw and they are costing 280quid if they all work like the 6i then its money well spent

If they're all MOI matched, they'll all feel like the 6i.

slats- I think you're in for a real treat. If you've been loving that 6, and they're all being matched to that 6...

Let's just say that I recently went to a 'demo day', found a club I loved, talked the local repair guy into letting me blueprint the club, I re-MOIed my own clubs, and just love them. Every single one. I can laser my 3 hybrid all over the course... it's just 'as easy' to hit as my 8 iron.

                          hi all
tried my new fitted clubs today at the range.
                          they are worth every penny!
started practise as usual with wedge shots hit barrel at 60yds with sw 4 times out of ten shots! my accuracy has increased massively and the distance is so much better probably 15yds further with only 50% of the normal effort.the grips are so comfortable its unreal.
was swinging so well with these clubs that when i got my 3wood out using the same tempo i was bombing the back of the range (250yds)with it!

LOL - slats - you're not supposed to post while giddy!

I'm glad you're enjoying your new sticks. Props to your clubmaker on that one!
