  • Refurbished Pro-v1 balls

Just wondering if these pro-v1 balls will play well, 36 for 30 pounds seems really good. Click Here. Any one used refurbished balls? i think refurbished pro-v1s will play better than the average new ball for the same price?

      Hi

I have used these and generally the quality is more than fine, however don't be surprised if you get one or two that aren't great.

As for how they compare to new balls, it depends in what you're looking for. Pro V1's are designed for better players who want control and spin around the green. As someone who generally wants to keep the ball in a straight line and get a bit more distance then 'average' balls (maxfli noodle, srixon ad333) are more than adequate. I've heard the NXT's are very good and are a combination of the two.

I've been using refurbished ProV1s for about a year now and found them to be great; plenty of check on the greens and still good distance. On the occasions where I have used a new ProV1, I think that you can tell the difference as the newer ones go further.

I've recently bought some refurbished Callaway HX Tour Balls and some ProV1X Balls too to see how they go.

I've played both NXT and NXT Tour balls and haven't been too impressed with them. I don't nkow why but I couldn't seem to get them to do what I wanted, they just didn't feel right. I was however very impressed by the Srixon AD 333, lots of distance with great softness.

Id rather get the second hand ones than the refurbished ones
I found that the cover came off the refurbished ones very easily
          They were "Refinished by Sunset"

In that vein, the Callaway refurbs are much harder than new ones but the Titleists are very good but I agree that they all scuff up even faster than new ones.
