  • Custom fitted clubs

I got a set of custom fitted irons a few years ago with graphite shafts.
But at the time when my swing was measured..and all the other variables were done I wasnt actually playing much golf.
I also remember the guy making the clubs a half inch longer for some reason!.
I'm only 5 foot 7 inches so why the extra length!..
Anyway I'm now looking online to buy a new set of irons and fancy a set of RAC Taylor made oversize for $525 including delivery...
I used to use Taylor made forged irons and still have the 3 iron in my bag and much prefer steel shafts in my irons than the graphite.
    How do the RAC's rate?.
If I order them today I'll get them by Friday.

    Dont rush out and buy.........

With the technology in golf today we can enjoy the full benefit of custom clubs made to suit you by many different companies.

Before you buy, please go see your local pro. He will determine the correct length loft and lie to suit your build/swing.

Many golfers buy online with great results and many fail to enjoy the golf clubs they thought would be ready to go from the shelf.

If you intend to replace your old set PLEASE see your pro….

For one thing, it will bring in income to your local golf club and give you an opportunity to get them tweaked at a later date, when they might need flattening or more loft.

For the cost of a few ££/$$ more the pro is the place to be, ask him/her if they would meet the price you have found on the net, they may even beat it?

    Good luck in your endeavours.

BTW I am not a pro but know that is the only way to get a satisfactory result.

      Testing

      Brian,

The only sure way to know if the RAC's suit your game is to try before you buy. Most golf clubs have a club barrel with a demo club from different manufacturers. See how you hit them, if you like the feel, do the trajectories match what you are looking for.

I do product testing as a sideline. I was looking last summer for a new set of clubs, it took 6 months to find the right set. I think I tried at least 30 sets.

If you fit your swing to the clubs, you will have less adjustment when you get them. All clubs are not created equal.

      Buyer Beware!!!
